Dog the Bounty Hunter and Duane “Dog” Chapman
Dog the Bounty Hunter is a reality television program which shows the bounty hunting operations of Duane “Dog” Chapman as bounty hunter at Da Kine Bail Bonds in Honolulu, Hawaii. The program broadcasted on A&E channel is about following a family of bounty hunters as they capture fugitives. The television show has already covered its five seasons and now currently running its sixth season. This television show features the main bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman along with his other family members as other bounty hunters who are also acting as his team mates in the program.
Duane Lee “Dog” Chapman, an American bounty hunter and a former bail bond man was born on February 2, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. In his early 20’s, he was known as an amateur boxer. He arrived in bounty hunting career while he was in court, for the trial of his child support. He was unable to pay the compensation, but the judge offered him a deal. Under that deal, he had to bring in a fugitive in return to pay a fraction of Chapman's child maintenance for Leland Chapman and Duane Lee. He was then a father of five children named Barbara Kate, Leland Chapman, Tucker, Duane Lee Chapman and Baby Lyssa.
Before moving to Hawaii with all his five children, he began his bondsman business in his hometown of Denver, Colorado. However, he had to return to his home town for the long stay after his mother’s death. While being in his home town Chapman along with his wife Alice Barmore, both moved to Hawaii to launch another workplace in downtown Honolulu. Soon he was recorded to arrest more than 6,000 people. His unusual record of arrest brought him into spotlight that helped to kick off a television show named Dog the Bounty Hunter featuring Chapman and his team arresting fugitives.
This television show shortly became the highest rated show on A&E television channel, but was pulled off by the network in November 2007, after Chapman was heard in a taped phone conversation using a racial disgrace for his son's black girlfriend. After Chapman’s constant apology and making amends with the network and the black community it was decided to get the show back in air. His many infamous along with more controversial hunts made Duane “Dog” Chapman one of the most talked about personality. He ruled the television for so many years and still going strong. His strong determination and his many earlier hunts still make him as one of the popular television personalities.
